Building Resiliency through Engagement in North Texas

Welcome to the North Texas Chapter of the Association of Continuity Professionals (ACP). ACP is a non-profit professional organization, which provides a forum for the exchange of experiences and information, for business continuity professionals, throughout a network of local chapters.

Founded in March of 1986, the North Texas Chapter is one of the oldest continuously meeting chapters, and among the largest by membership, serving the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex and surrounding region.

Events are generally held on the first Tuesday of every month but may vary due to holidays or speaker schedules. Events are for current members and invited guests only.  If you aren't a member but want to attend one of our events, please contact us or consider joining the chapter.

President's Address

Mother’s Day is just around the corner, and what better occasion than this to celebrate the awe-inspiring resilience of mothers everywhere? They are not just caregivers but also formidable problem solvers who handle the countless challenges of parenting with unbelievable grace and determination.

Every day, mothers juggle the demands of work and home life, consistently putting the needs of their families ahead of their own. Their ability to adapt and succeed, even under pressure, is truly commendable. This Mother’s Day let’s do more than just buy flowers. Let’s take a genuine moment to appreciate the strength, endurance, and resilience mothers demonstrate.

Let’s make it a point to acknowledge the vital role they play not just within the confines of our homes but also as pivotal members of our communities. They are the unsung heroes, the backbone of our families, and the quiet yet steadfast pillars upon which we lean.

So, here’s to all the wonderful mothers out there! May we support and cherish them as robustly as they do us. Wishing my mother and yours a truly special Mother’s Day filled with love and joy. They deserve it!

Consider volunteering, donating to women’s shelters, or simply lending a hand to a mother in need. Let’s turn our gratitude into action.

Joel Navarro, CBCP, MBCI

North Texas Chapter President
