Building Resiliency through Engagement in North Texas

Welcome to the North Texas Chapter of the Association of Continuity Professionals (ACP). ACP is a non-profit professional organization, which provides a forum for the exchange of experiences and information, for business continuity professionals, throughout a network of local chapters.

Founded in March of 1986, the North Texas Chapter is one of the oldest continuously meeting chapters, and among the largest by membership, serving the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex and surrounding region.

Events are generally held on the first Tuesday of every month but may vary due to holidays or speaker schedules. Events are for current members and invited guests only.  If you aren't a member but want to attend one of our events, please contact us or consider joining the chapter.

President's Address

As we close out the year and embrace the holiday season, I find myself reflecting not only on the growth we’ve had as a chapter but also on the personal growth each of us has experienced in our careers. December is a time to pause and appreciate how far we’ve come—both individually and collectively.

For many of us, the journey in career development and advancement wasn’t a straight line. It’s often filled with challenges, learning curves, and unexpected opportunities. Each project we’ve tackled, every crisis we’ve managed, and all the exercises we’ve led have shaped us into the professionals we are today. I encourage you to take a moment to reflect on the milestones in your career this year. What new skills have you developed? What challenges have you overcome? These achievements, both large and small, are all worth celebrating.

This season also reminds me of the importance of gratitude. I’m incredibly thankful for the dedication and passion of our ACP members. You play a critical role in ensuring the chapter is providing value and meaning to the membership. Your hard work for the safety and resilience  of your organizations and communities is an inspiration and a beacon for the next generation of resiliency professionals.

As we look to the year ahead, let’s carry forward the lessons we’ve learned and remain committed to growing—not just our programs, but ourselves as professionals. Together, we can continue to strengthen the resilience of our field and make an even greater impact.

Thank you for your membership and your active engagement at our monthly events. Wishing you a joyful holiday season and a successful new year!
